Partick: Bring our buses back public meeting
Better buses for Glasgow - let’s get some answers
Are you sick of spending £2.50 on a single ticket? Waiting hours for a bus that doesn’t even turn up? Wishing there was a cheap, reliable bus service to get you home at night?
Living Rent members are campaigning for Glasgow City Council to use money from the new tourist tax to invest in a publicly owned bus service for Glasgow, starting with our night buses. Everyone knows the system is broken, yet our elected officials don’t seem to care. Time and time again, they pass the buck, blow us off, or say it’s not an important issue.
So we are inviting Anderston/Yorkhill ward councillors Angus Millar (convener for transport), Eva Bolander, Christie Mearns and Philip Braat to hear what it’s really like for those at the sharp end of Glasgow’s privatised bus system. They work for us, and we expect real answers when we ask what their plan is to fix this mess.
